Advancing at an unprecedented pace, AI raises profound questions about the ethical and practical implications of creating intelligent machines, as well as what it means to be human in the age of AI.
Both the upsides and the drawbacks of the impact of AI on religious beliefs, traditions, and practices, and society, more broadly, highlight the need for careful consideration of ethical guidelines in the development and application of AI.
We believe that our faith tradition, with its emphasis on continuous revelation and human agency, offers valuable insights in this area. As scholars and disciples, we have a responsibility to understand how technological changes may impact our religious community and its practices, and to explore how we can harness emerging technologies to improve the world around us.
